Amanda is a USFS-certified figure skating coach and lifelong skater who is passionate about helping athletes build strong technical foundations, confidence, and a genuine love for the sport. With nearly 10 years of coaching experience and a background spanning both singles and synchronized skating, she brings a thoughtful and intentional approach to skill development.

Amanda enjoys working with skaters of all ages and abilities—from those stepping onto the ice for the first time to experienced athletes preparing for tests, competitions, and individualized advanced goals. She believes great coaching is about more than learning the next skill; it is about developing mentally tough athletes with strong work ethics while creating a supportive environment where skaters feel comfortable challenging themselves and celebrating their progress.

Her own competitive experience includes a six-year collegiate skating career in both singles and synchronized skating, as well as four appearances at the U.S. National Synchronized Skating Championships. She is a USFS Gold Medalist in Moves in the Field/Skating Skills and has competed at the Novice and Junior levels in singles, along with Adult, Collegiate, and Open Collegiate synchronized skating.

Amanda works with skaters in private lessons and Learn to Ice Skate group classes, with a particular focus on Moves in the Field/Skating Skills, freestyle, competition and test preparation, choreography for group routines and show performances, and synchronized skating skills. Above all, she wants each skater to become a stronger, more well-rounded athlete while maintaining the joy that makes figure skating so special.
