Alyona Bilash
FREESKATE Components, RECOVERY SPECIALIST, Off-ice Conditioning
Alyona Bilash is a USFS-certified figure skating coach and movement and recovery specialist who integrates technical instruction with injury-preventive training and a focus on mental health to support balanced athlete development. With a strong background in biomechanics, movement analysis, and rehabilitation, she applies her medical knowledge to every aspect of skating instruction.
Her approach emphasizes the connection between efficient technique and overall physical and mental well-being, ensuring that skaters not only build strong foundational skills but also train in ways that prevent injury, reduce burnout, and support long-term growth. Alyona designs practices that enhance movement efficiency, strength, mobility, and flexibility—helping athletes maximize performance while avoiding compensation patterns that can lead to overuse injuries.
Understanding the importance of the mind-body connection, she places a strong emphasis on athletes’ emotional well-being, an area often overlooked in high-performance sport.
By combining her passion for skating with her clinical experience, Alyona guides skaters toward technical excellence while fostering healthy training habits that support their development both on and off the ice.
