Goal-Setting Challenge: Skate Into 2026

In collaboration with Heart of Texas FSC, we invite all skaters to participate in our January Goal-Setting Challenge. Thoughtful goal-setting is one of the most effective ways to maximize progress on the ice, especially when paired with consistent coaching and structured training.

We encourage skaters to set:

  • One Skill Goal – a specific technical achievement (e.g., landing a consistent axel, improving spin centering, moving up a test level)

  • One Performance Goal – how you want to skate or compete (e.g., stronger presentation, clean run-throughs, confident competition mindset)

  • One Habit Goal – a routine that supports long-term success (e.g., early warm-ups, post-session stretching, positive self-talk)

Write your goals down and share them on social media by tagging @sk8.vida and @texasfsc. We’ll also be creating a goal wall at the rink to help keep motivation high. Remember: progress comes from consistency.

Turn Goals Into a Plan

Setting goals is the first step—having the right training plan is what makes them achievable.

Skate VIDA offers:

  • Private lessons with experienced coaches to target individual goals

  • Small-group classes focused on skills, performance, and conditioning

  • On- and off-ice training options to support well-rounded athlete development

If you haven’t scheduled lessons yet for the new year, now is the perfect time. Our team is happy to help you determine the best combination of private instruction and group classes based on your goals.
